Why Play A Druid?

What is playing a Druid all about?

''Druids harness the vast powers of nature to preserve balance and protect life. With experience, druids can unleash nature’s raw energy against their enemies, raining celestial fury on them from a great distance, binding them with enchanted vines, or ensnaring them in unrelenting cyclones.''

- Official website

The druid is a shape shifting hybrid class, and actually the only class in the game that has the luxury of 4 different specialisations:-

  •  Moonkin - Uses a mix of Arcane and Nature magic to destroy foes from a distance. Also known as “moonkin,” which is their iconic form. Ranged DPS spec.
  • Feral - Uses 'Tooth and Claw' to rip apart their foes at close range, predominantly a DOT based spec with their bleeds.
  • Restoration - A healer class the specializes in HOTS, has a vast array of powerful instant heals.
  • Gaurdian - A big old bear capable of absorbing huge amounts of damage with thier enhanced Armour and HP.

Each spec has it's own quirks and play-style, from a players point of view this adds a greater depth to the class and raises the bar when it comes to playing a Druid to a high standard. The key to to playing a Druid well is understanding the class through and through down to the very last passive. As a druid you can change into bear or cat form regardless of what specialization you are in, giving you even more utility and versatility.

DRUIDS ARE FUN!!!!

 Pro's:-

  • Druids enjoy a vast array of choice when it comes to choosing how you plan on playing WoW.
  • You can change into various forms, come on admit it, its SUPER COOL!
  • Druids can enjoy a permanent move speed increase
  • Each Specialization does not feel any weaker than any of the 'pure' classes
  • Flight form; instantly being able to fly without a 1.5 second wait or having to be on the ground. This, is, AMAZING
  • Disentanglement whenever you shape-shift, this is extremely useful in PVP

Con's:-

  • Gear requirements, having 4 specs means that if you want to play your druid to the fullest you would actually need to invest alot of time and gold into your gear
  •  Smaller toolbox compared to other classes
  • Animal jokes :/
